Excursion to Alnwick

On Wednesday 28th July (afternoon) we will take you by coach to the historic town of Alnwick in Northumberland. Here you will be able to visit the Medieval Castle (known as ‘The Windsor of the North’) which has been used as a location for many films, including Harry Potter.

You will also have time to browse the ancient town of Alnwick which has many shops and tea-rooms and is also home to one of Europe’s largest second-hand bookshops situated in the old railway station or possibly visit the award winning Alnwick Garden with its water sculptures and Grand Cascade, landscaped gardens and one of the world’s largest tree-houses, which is located in the grounds of the Castle (separate entry fee, payable locally).
