General Information for Presenters

Please read these latest notes from conference chair.

We encourage clearly-written, high-quality talks, and each session room will be equipped with a computer connected to a projector running windows XP or 7, and is able to display Powerpoint 2007 and earlier, and PDF. OHP will also be available on request.

We recommend that speakers write their talks with an appropriate amount of content and slides for the time allocated. Typically 1 slide per 90 seconds is advised.

We strongly encourage speakers to have their presentation on a memory stick and to upload it on the projecting computer before the start of their session in the breaks to avoid delays.

There will be facilities to connect a laptop via VGA to the projector but it will be at the Session Chair's discretion to let you do this. If your laptop does not have a standard VGA connector (i.e. mac's with mini/micro DVI connectors) you will have to supply the adapter yourself.

Poster Contributions

The dedicated poster session will be on Wednesday 28 July from 11:30-12:30.

Posters can be viewed on the ground floor of the Newcastle Business School, and will be up for the whole week. We will provide Velcro tape to attach your poster to the boards. The maximum poster size is A1 (594mm x 841mm). Your poster can be either portrait or landscape. Posters can go up from 9am Monday 26th and need to be taken down by 5pm on Friday 30th.
